at least they are much more efficient than just saying "please
upgrade". And actually, i am talking about large networks, namely
IRCNet. And yes, you will probably always be able to cheat. But if you
are caught, you will lose your c/n's. Whereas when you just dont do
anything when you are asked to upgrade your server, it will hardly
hurt you. :p
