alright, since you have the answer to your problem, stop
suggesting new stupid modes. nobody cares if the current way
to do it is more work, the irc server is NOT there to make
your life easier, that's the client's job.

as a side note, adding new channel modes is difficult and
problematic. Adding new modes in 2.10 was a very exceptional
event that will never happen again.
