It was told to you what has been and still is the tao of IRCNet.
Are you saying there should be a vote to show you what features
don't belong to IRCNet?

The exit comments don't break anything. They provide extra information
in their own unique method. The clients are free to do whatever they
want to with that data. You would have a point if exit comments were
broadcast as NOTICEs.
