Hi !!!
I edited the /etc/inetd.conf file adding the following line:
irc stream tcp wait irc /usr/local/sbin/ircd ircd -i
where the first irc is the service in /etc/service (tcp/6667) and the second
irc is the user.
I start the inetd, and I'm trying to connect to the ircd server from a mIRC
client. But I have no success.
The /var/adm/messages file is full of these logs:
Feb 21 13:17:58 su-wsp inetd[10046]: getpwnam: irc: No such user
Feb 21 13:17:58 su-wsp inetd[158]: /usr/local/sbin/ircd: Hangup
Feb 21 13:17:58 su-wsp inetd[10047]: getpwnam: irc: No such user
Feb 21 13:17:58 su-wsp inetd[158]: /usr/local/sbin/ircd: Hangup
Feb 21 13:17:58 su-wsp inetd[10048]: getpwnam: irc: No such user
Feb 21 13:17:58 su-wsp inetd[158]: /usr/local/sbin/ircd: Hangup
Do I have to create an "irc" user in server ??? I did it yesterday but I had
not luck....
What can I do ???
Thanks again !!!
Alejandro
