I could ask "How (and why?) did this channel of restricted guys manage
to set mode +r in the first place?" :-), but yes - I do accept your
point about such a situation being unfair.

(Actually, it's quite difficult to see who the channel owners are who
would benefit from the current reop mode anyway. Unless they're a small
invite-only channel who are careless and keep losing ops. But this is
another issue entirely.)
