I tested it, the only client the i so far found have, the with 
it real problems had was the xchat-client. And unto to the have i now 
the fix for the fact written and at the author sent. Knows your still 
other the with it problems have? But was xchat a good example, the 
actual problem exist already since introduced the I/e-modes and would 
not primary with to the modemix came into beeing.
And what the Server concerns, if one a certain times gives is it ok, 
but not unto long. Thus big are the problems not, the this modemix 
cause would, with a lot of the clients makes no problems. And with 
the clients where the problems make would, can after all an update 
not thus difficult be.
