I just installed irc2.9.5.tgz with:
./configure --prefix=/usr/local/ircd
cd i586-pc-linux-gnu
make 
make install

I  could not find any files described in:
config.h

#define CPATH   "ircd.conf"     /* configuration file */
#define MPATH   "ircd.motd"     /* motd file */
#define LPATH   "ircd.log"      /* debugging log */
#define PPATH   "ircd.pid"      /* PID file */
#define TPATH   "ircd.tune"     /* tuning file */      

Where all those file?
