Hi.
I'm trying to configure a server for localhost connections.
I tried to specify I-lines with my machine name, 'localhost', my machine IP
address, '127.0.0.1' but I always get unauthorized connection messages.
I also tried to change the M-line, but it didn't help either.
Here is my very simple configuration:
M:localhost::My office:6665:
A:Hugo:hugoh@xxxxxxx:Localhost server::
P::::6665:
Y:10:180:::512000::
I:127.0.0.1::localhost::10
I:18.29.0.76::::10
O:*:test:hugo::5
I manage to connect to 18.29.0.76 port 6665, but not 127.0.0.1 port 6665.
Another weird problem: when I'm connected, if I try to user the OPER
command, the server replies "no O-line for your host".
If I use the I-line I:*::*::10, all my problems disappear.
Can somebody explain to me what I am doing wrong?
Thanks in advance.
Best regards,
Hugo

It might look like I'm doing nothing, but at the cellular level I'm really
quite busy.
