Ahh that's true i didn't think about it;
but if client requests exact channel name, why couldn't it get at least
info that the channel does exist ?

if #foo is +smtin i can even /mode #foo and i get reply that
*** mode for channel #foo is "+smtin"

so if user asks for listing !foo, he should know what !foo channels do
exist...
