an odd little problem i'm encountering after installing 2.9.5. at first
everything compiled correctly, and i added a line to the /etc/inetd.conf
file and hung it up. then i tried to connect to the server and it accepted
the connection, but nothing happened when i typed in commands. so i
checked the bug list in the ircd_dir/doc directory, and it said that the
inetd feature was not functional. so i took out the inetd line and started
the server manually. after that, connections were refused, so i put the
line back in the inetd.conf file.

i've already checked the FAQ (www.stealth.net/~kalt/irc/faq.html) and
tried what it suggested (editing the p-lines and all) but they were
already correct for port 6667.

any suggestions you could make would be greatly appreciated
