there's no easy way to hide these.

it's probably better to educate your users,
next version will make it easier as these channels will have
a topic starting with "SERVER MESSAGES:"

if you're just running a standalone server, you are probably
safe using 2.9.4a4 which can be found at
	http://www.stealth.net/~kalt/irc/src/irc2.9.4a4.tgz
