Well, the problem is that the server inverts port and class in O-lines 
when reading them.
Although in the example.conf file says
O:<TARGET Host NAME>:<Password>:<Nickname>:<Port>:<Class>
and that is what chkconf checks, ircd reads
O:<TARGET Host NAME>:<Password>:<Nickname>:<Class>:<Port>

I tested it with a vanilla release, without the sd9p2 patch that I 
usually use.
