CGI in C language - attached. 

All except main.c is my code ...use it on yor own. :) And please send back some
enhanced versions derived from this source.
avl_tree.? is old and buggy (but buggy routines are not used by other gateway
code :)
I can create some CVS repository if there will be interest in development. :)

But there may be some steps to be done:
1) Use of gnu ftp://odin.compchem.ucsf.edu/pub/amber/avltree-1.1.tar.gz instead
of my one (gnu works better)
2) Remove ripped main.c 

main.c ... it's ripped from some WWW IRC gateway and I changed it little. But I
never saw any licence with it.
