What do you think of the idea of unlocking a locked
nick when another server introduces a nick of the same name? This would
avoid the following minor issue:
Some remote client gets temporarily netsplit, then
returns and QUITs normally:
*** NickA has quit IRC (irc.whatever1.net
irc.whatever2.net)
*** NickA has rejoined #Channel
*** NickA has quit IRC (leaving)
Someone locally now tries to use
NickA:
/nick NickA
*** NickA Nick/channel is temporarily
unavailable
I'm sure there's probably a good reason for not
unlocking the nick (which I'll realise as soon as I click 'send' on this email),
but I thought I'd mention this anyway... :)
