we unfortunately have no up to date document on what exactly
the planned steps are;  Most of the discussions have taken
place online (IRCnet) with the few people interested enough
to hopefully write some code.  Anyone interested can easily
catch up :-)

the bulk of the job to reach this goal is really tedious work,
all the more annoying to do that it requires careful thinking
as well.
