the /kill command is not working.....

Hi All,

Hope this is the right place to ask this question.....We have
irc2.9.1p16 installed on a SPARC20 - Solaris box. For some reason the
"/kill" command doesn't work and I keep getting the following message:

"Unauthorized command (already registered)"

When I add a host to ircd.conf, it works just fine - so manually is o.k.
and off couse I got to rehash and all but at least I can k-lineI, but I
can't give my "ops" the same functionallity. Can anybody please help?!!
